What and who is SPBremnerResearch?
I am a researcher looking at the overall problem of sustainable energy for the future through a diverse range of projects.
Working with a number of talented academics, researchers, and students, we look at the most fundamental limitations to energy conversion and ways to circumvent these limits, both theoretically and experimentally. We also look at integrating high performance III-V compound semiconductors with silicon for high efficiency devices. Improving on processes and designs for industrially ubiquitous silicon solar cells is another focus. More recently, the use of weather forecasting techniques and machine learning into the design and operation of hybrid RE systems with energy storage is being explored.
If any of these problems are of interest, check out the site and see what we are up to and how you might be able to join us as we discover better ways to generate energy for the future.
